Job summary

Southern Cleaning Services is seeking dedicated cleaning staff to maintain facilities through sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors, restrooms, and fixtures. The role includes trash removal, window cleaning, dusting, and operational safety tasks.

The position requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, flex hours including weekends/holidays, and adaptability to different facilities. Training on chemical cleaners and equipment will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning facilities.

Responsibilities

• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or cleaners.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Prepare cleaning solutions per specifications.
• Steam-clean or shampoo carpets.
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
• Clean laboratory equipment with appropriate cleaners.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Monitor building security and safety after hours.
• Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
• Notify managers of major repairs or additions.
• Remove snow from sidewalks and driveways.
• Requisition supplies and equipment.
• Set up decorations for events.
