Job summary

CSL Plasma in McAllen, Texas is hiring for a full-time Custodian role to keep the donor center clean and orderly. This position involves light maintenance tasks, safety compliance, and supporting facility operations in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires standing most of the day, ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and overtime as needed; bilingual skills may be required to meet business needs. Benefits are available from day one of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum three (3) months experience as a custodian preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions.
• Must be able to see and speak with customers and observe equipment operation.
• Occasionally perform tasks while standing and walking up to 100% of time.
• Reach, bend, kneel and have high level of manual dexterity.
• Occasionally be required to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.
• Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment while performing specific tasks or in certain areas.
• Required to work overtime and extended hours to support center operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Cleans tables, chairs, cabinets, counters and appliances located in the employee break room and donor waiting area.
• Vacuums carpets, dusts furniture and removes trash.
• Cleans windows and doors at least daily.
• Performs minor maintenance tasks (bulbs, tiles, painting, plumbing, carpentry).
• Monitors grounds and parking lots and picks up litter as required.
• Assists in recycling and repackaging of shipping materials.
• Inspects and cleans restrooms; replenishes paper and soap supplies.
• Receives supplies and moves them to storage and released/quarantined areas.
• Maintains a safe, clean work environment and follows HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintains confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
