Job summary

Access: Supports for Living is hiring a janitorial associate in New Rochelle, NY. You will perform daily cleaning of a multi-purpose office building, including floor care, restroom sanitation, trash removal, carpet cleaning, and window cleaning. Flexibility for light repairs and moves is required.

The role requires prior janitorial experience, a valid driver’s license, and knowledge of floor buffers is a plus. Hours are Mon-Fri 7a-3p with a 1-hour unpaid lunch; rate is $18.04/hr plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial experience required.
• Knowledge of a floor buffer is a plus.
• Valid Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Floor care with buffers and floor scrubbers.
• Keep restrooms cleaned, sanitized and stocked.
• Manage trash and recyclables.
• Carpet cleaning using carpet extractor.
• Clean all windows.
• Light painting/repairs as needed.
• Vacuuming and dusting.
• Keep walkways clear of snow, ice, and debris.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with staff and leaders.
