Job summary

HES Facilities is seeking a dependable General Cleaner for Chicago Heights, IL. You will perform daily cleaning tasks across assigned areas, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for staff and students.

The role supports Day (1st) and Night (2nd) shifts, Monday through Friday, with pay between $16.00 and $16.50 per hour. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and a background check is required. This is a team-oriented environment where reliability and attention to detail are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent work history and reliability.
• Background check and fingerprinting required; E-Verify process.
• Physically capable for cleaning tasks and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties across assigned areas including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, restrooms and locker rooms.
• Handle trash, recycling, windows, desks, walls, and general facility upkeep beyond daily cleaning.
• Follow custodial supervisor directions and maintain the daily cleanliness of the facility.
• Work with Day (1st) and Night (2nd) shifts, Monday–Friday.
