Job summary

Boys & Girls Club of Greater Northwest Indiana, Duneland location, is seeking a part-time Custodian (up to 29 hours/week during the school year). The role runs mornings (7am-noon) on weekdays, with some additional hours for rentals, and summer hours vary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, procedure manuals, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions, exercise good judgment, set priorities.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
• Clean, mop, wash, scrub, wax, polish, buff, and vacuum floors with industrial machines.
• Empty trash receptacles.
• Clean fixtures and remove recycling materials.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Report safety hazards or unusual conditions to supervision.
• Attend staff/agency meetings as required.
