Job summary

Vertx in Kentucky is seeking a dedicated Janitor to maintain cleanliness of the office and plant areas and to keep the facility in good condition. The role involves daily cleaning tasks, floor care, restroom sanitation, trash removal, and basic building maintenance with occasional coordination with local firms.

The position requires at least 1 year of janitorial experience, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and adherence to safety guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of building maintenance.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Ability to walk the plant throughout the day cleaning and sweeping.
• Specialized sewing equipment maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning and sweeping around the plant.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
• Clean and maintain restrooms.
• Empty trash and recycling bins.
• Basic building maintenance and inspections as needed.
• Contact various local firms for regular building maintenance.
• Setting and disarming building alarms.
• Maintain cleaning inventory, placing orders for new products when needed.
• Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions.
• Any other duties as assigned or needed.
