Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable Lead to ensure facility operations follow policies and procedures at the Sumter location. You will coordinate daily operations by delegating assignments, supervise staff when the Manager is absent, and ensure buildings remain clean and safe for workers and customers.

The role involves operating specialized equipment, handling cleaning chemicals, and supporting general janitorial duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• A high school diploma, GED, or college degree is not required.
• 1 year of similar work experience
• 1 year of customer service experience
• 1 year of lead or supervisory experience
• Valid Driver's license

Responsibilities

• Following assigned work schedules and route cards as directed.
• Providing leadership and direction to team members.
• Overseeing and performing cleaning operations in the assigned building.
• Taking care of keys and access cards for the property.
• Reporting damaged, broken, and out of service features/items.
• Overseeing and performing additional service requests (tag job) in the building.
• Overseeing quality of jobs and confirming completion with Area Manager.
• Providing training for all new hires assigned to the building per onboarding procedures.
• Completing and validating time records for regular or subcontractor employees.
• Checking supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly.
• Handling miscellaneous duties as assigned.
