Job summary

Occidental College is seeking a Cleaning Services Specialist to help maintain a clean and safe campus environment, including routine cleaning and floor care. The role also serves as the on-site, after-hours contact for emergencies, coordinating with Facilities Management and remediation vendors.

This non-exempt, full-time position requires a high school diploma or GED and prior cleaning experience. A generous benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Three years of cleaning and maintenance experience specified in job listing.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and respond to emergencies after hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment across floors and surfaces.
• Safely move and arrange furniture and report hazards to supervisor.
• Service dispensers and assist campus users with facility locations and needs.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies and coordinate with Facilities Management and vendors.
