Job summary

Round1 Entertainment Inc. seeks a diligent cleaning associate to maintain a high-traffic bowling/arcade environment. You will perform janitorial duties, sanitize restrooms, and keep furniture and equipment clean and presentable.

The role requires reliable customer service, good communication, and the ability to work in a noisy, active setting. Physical stamina is essential to handle lifting and long periods of standing.

Qualifications

• Experience in a cleaning environment preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and a friendly attitude.
• Retail/food service experience preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers exceptional customer service through cleaning practices for the store.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms and replenish dispensers using established practices and procedures.
• When requested, shampoo the carpets.
• Cleans, dusts, and wipes store furniture, arcades, and equipment; sweeps, mops, and vacuums floors.
• Uses and maintains cleaning equipment and hand tools; scrubbers, extractors, washers, brooms, mops, and squeegees.
• Washes walls and glass surfaces; uses ladders when required.
• Follows instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.
• Moves furniture, equipment, supplies, and tools as needed.
• Washes accessible interior and exterior windows.
• Responsible for laundering cleaning rags and dust mops.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Facilities Manager and Regional Cleaning Specialist.
• Conducts alcohol and age restriction control per company policies.
• Maintains confidentiality of all policies and procedures.
• Maintains a clean and safe working area.

Essential Duties:

• Delivers exceptional customer service through cleaning practices for the store.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms and replenish dispensers using established practices and procedures.
• When requested, will shampoo the carpets.
• Cleans, dust, and wipes store furniture, arcades, and equipment; sweeps, mops, and vacuums floors, empties/cleans wastebaskets and trash containers.
• Uses and maintains assigned cleaning equipment and hand tools; scrubbers, extractors, washers, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, and more.
• Washes walls and glass surfaces; uses ladders when required in work assignments.
• Follows instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.
• Moves furniture, equipment, supplies, and tools on an incidental basis.
• Washes accessible interior and exterior windows.
• Responsible for the laundering of cleaning rags and dust mops.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Facilities Manager and Regional Cleaning Specialist.

Non-Essential Duties:

• Conducts alcohol and age restriction control in accordance with company policies.
• Conducts lost and found procedures in accordance with company policies.
• Seeks constant improvement or more efficient and less expensive ways and means in department work processes.
• Complies with and maintains confidentiality of all company policies and procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a cleaning environment in a bowling or game center establishment preferred.
• Customer service experience in a similar or comparable work environment, strong verbal communication skills supported by a pleasant and positive attitude of “can-do” success.
• Previous experience in retail/restaurant or customer service environments preferred.
• Must hold a High School diploma or GED.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a bowling center/arcade environment where high levels of noise, dust, and activity can be expected. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, stretch, twist, climb, and have a high level of mobility/flexibility in small spaces. The employee is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time without breaks during busy times. In addition, the employee will need to be able to use their hands/fingers to handle feel, and reach with hands and arms. Lifting and/or moving up to 100 lbs with assistance is required.
