Job summary

Jacobs in Boise, Idaho, seeks a junior/intermediate Facilities Chemical Process Engineer to design piping, equipment layouts and facility upgrades. You will work with clients and multi-disciplinary teams to establish design requirements and deliver construction documents for complex manufacturing tools and infrastructure.

The role requires a ABET-accredited bachelor’s in chemical or mechanical engineering, 1+ year of relevant facilities experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• At least 1 year of practical application of chemical/mechanical facilities engineering experience.
• At least 1 year of design project delivery processes experience.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and leadership experience.
• EIT certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design and layout for piping, equipment layout, and tools for complex facilities.
• Retrofit of existing building systems to accommodate tool installation.
• Engineering calculations, equipment sizing, and selection; support during construction and integration into the factory.
• Produce construction documents for installation of complex manufacturing tools and facilities infrastructure.
