Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is hiring a Maintenance/Janitorial teammate to perform general maintenance and cleaning duties while upholding high safety and sanitation standards for members and team members.

You will gather and return carts, clean facilities, and support club operations with a positive, service‑oriented attitude. This role emphasizes teamwork, efficiency, and adherence to policies across the club.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Prior retail/wholesale experience preferred.
• May be less than 18 years of age for parking lot functions; over 18 to operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provides members with prompt and courteous service and assistance.
• Maintains high standards of safety and sanitation for members and team members.
• Maintains cleanliness of all areas including sales floor, offices, restrooms and outdoor grounds.
• Gathers and returns carts and flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance.
• Performs routine maintenance and cleaning, operating floor scrubber and related equipment safely.
• Ensures carts are stocked and in working order.
