Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle is seeking a Facilities Capital Engineer to support operations and long‑term reliability engineering for multiple sites. You will coordinate with the Capital Engineering team and client operations to drive infrastructure projects and ensure code compliance across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression systems.

The role requires 5–10 years in facilities capital or related fields, with NEC/NFPA/OSHA knowledge and experience in capital budgeting, lifecycle

Qualifications

• Requires a BS in an Engineering discipline and 5–10 years in facilities capital or infrastructure engineering.
• Experience with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and other codes and standards.
• Experience with infrastructure planning, capital budgeting, and multi-year renewal programs.
• Experience developing and implementing maintenance procedures and operational standards.
• Background in critical or regulated environments (data centers, labs, manufacturing, etc.).
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression systems.
• Ability to use CMMS and related IT tools.

Responsibilities

• Recognize that assignments are broad and require originality with substantial latitude.
• Ensure site infrastructure complies with NEC, NFPA, OSHA; conduct assessments and corrective actions.
• Lead infrastructure planning and renewal programs; develop capital plans based on condition and lifecycle.
• Implement SOPs for mechanical and electrical operations to improve reliability.
• Identify projects to optimize capacity and performance aligned with objectives.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and vendors to execute projects.
