Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Facilities Automation Technician to monitor, operate, and support Building Automation Systems within a high-reliability environment at New Albany, OH. You will work with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to ensure stable environment control and accurate documentation.

The role requires 4+ years in BAS/HVAC control, knowledge of BACnet/Modbus, and CMMS experience.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 4+ years of experience with Building Automation Systems or HVAC control systems in industrial, manufacturing, or regulated environments.
  • Experience operating/troubleshooting BAS platforms (Niagara N4, Metasys, Siemens, Honeywell).
  • Knowledge of BACnet and Modbus.
  • Familiarity with GMP/GxP including ALCOA+, audit trails, and user access control.
  • CMMS experience (Maximo preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Monitor Building Automation System performance, including graphics, trends, alarms, sequences, and environmental conditions.
  • Respond to BAS alarms, document events, and escalate issues per site procedures.
  • Maintain stable temperature, humidity, airflow, and pressure for controlled environments.
  • Troubleshoot BAS field devices including sensors, actuators, valves, VAVs, AHUs, controllers, and networked components.
  • Support configuration, graphics updates, point checks, sequence verification, and system tuning.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance, calibrations, corrective work, and system repairs with maintenance teams.
  • Maintain CMMS documentation for work orders, alarms, and BAS activities.
  • Support GMP/GxP compliance, ALCOA+ data integrity, audit trails, and user access management.
  • Follow change processes for modifications to logic, sequences, setpoints, and hardware.
  • Partner with engineering, quality, operations, and maintenance on alarms and investigations.
