Job summary

Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to uphold the safety and reliability of our facilities.

You will perform general maintenance across the property, inspect HVAC, alarms, and generators, and handle painting, plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry. A high school diploma, 2+ years in commercial maintenance, and the ability to work around an alcohol- and smoke-friendly environment are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school preferred.
• Two (2) plus years’ experience in maintenance in a commercial facility.
• Must be able to work in an alcohol and smoking environment.
• Licensure as required by regulatory entities may be necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all Live! Casino and Hotel facilities, property, and equipment.
• Inspect HVAC systems, alarm systems, and generators.
• Perform painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and related maintenance.
• Carry out preventative maintenance as scheduled.
• Ensure safety and security of guests and team members through proper maintenance.
• Maintain, repair, and replace gaming table layouts.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery; handle chemicals; use ladders, bucket trucks, forklifts, and safety gear.
• Maintain a pleasant, friendly attitude and knowledge of facilities and entertainment offerings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Accountable for preventative maintenance of all Live! Casino and Hotel facilities, property, and equipment.

Where You'll Make an Impact

• Responsible for general maintenance of all facilities of the Live! Casino and Hotel property.


• Knowledge of the HVAC system, alarm system, and generators.


• Painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and other projects relating to maintenance of the property.


• Preventative maintenance as scheduled on all equipment


• Responsible to ensure thorough the proper maintenance and repair of the Live! Casino and Hotel facility the safety and security of all guests and team members.


• Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and replacing gaming table layouts.


• Operate all types of hand tools, power tools, and machinery that relate to the function of a maintenance shop. Chemicals used in maintenance. Ladders, bucket truck, forklift, and safety equipment.


• Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude. Complete knowledge of all facilities and entertainment available to guest.


• Other duties as assigned

Must-Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent. Some technical school training and certification is preferred


• Two (2) plus years’ experience in maintenance in a commercial facility. Valid driver’s license may be necessary.


• You will be exposed to an alcohol and smoking environment and must be able to work in such environment.


• Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by Louisiana Gaming Control Board or any other applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by Live’s operating standards.
