Job summary

DigiKey is seeking a Facilities Associate to perform evening cleaning duties in our Minnesota facility. The role requires onsite attendance and a focus on maintaining a clean, safe work environment for staff and visitors.

Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing spaces, handling waste, restocking supplies, and following all safety procedures. This is an essential onsite position with consistent hours and a team-oriented atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Clean, dust, vacuum, wash walls and fixtures in assigned areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and strip all floor surfaces.
• Collect trash and cardboard; transport to proper location.
• Replenish supplies such as soap and paper towels; restock as needed.
• Perform additional cleaning services and related duties as assigned.

Position Overview

Schedule: Monday - Friday 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm or 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

The Facilities Associate's main responsibility is to follow the daily work schedule for the assigned area. It may include cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping floors, empty/clean wastebaskets and wipe down work areas.

This is considered an essential onsite role, which requires regular onsite attendance.

Responsibilities

• Clean, dust, vacuum, and wash walls, furniture, ceilings, bathrooms, meeting rooms, windows, doors, and associated equipment and fixtures
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and strip all floor surfaces
• Collect trash and cardboard throughout the facility and transport it to the proper location
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, etc.
• Perform additional cleaning services as required
• Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned

Physical Requirements

• Physical ability to perform a full range of cleaning and custodial duties, as well as operation of cleaning equipment as required
• Capable of standing or walking the entire shift
• Capable of working with varying cleaning liquids, powders, sprays, soaps, etc.
• Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50lbs from floor to shoulder height
• Possible exposure to blood and/or other bodily fluids

The starting base pay rate for this position is: $19.00
