Job description

At the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, we believe in the power of education to transform lives, and our residential environment is at the heart of that promise. As the Facilities Associate Director, you will lead with purpose to create safe, sustainable, and high-quality physical environments where students can thrive, learn, and connect. Driven by our mission to provision access to higher education across Northeast Wisconsin, this role serves as a operational anchor for Housing and Residential Education (HRE). In this key leadership role, you will oversee day-to-day custodial operations, facility maintenance, and HVAC systems, ensuring that our campus housing reflects our commitment to excellence and belonging.

You will empower success across your team by directly supervising custodial staff, maintenance technicians, student workers, and external vendors, while also partnering on long-term capital planning and strategic construction projects. In close collaboration with HRE leadership, procurement, and campus safety, you will build community across departments and express gratitude for the shared efforts that keep our campus vibrant. If you are a collaborative leader who believes that Together, We Rise, we invite you to bring your technical expertise and strategic vision to UW-Green Bay.

Monitor work orders and ensure completion and maintain service standards. Maintain a working knowledge of plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems, and provide insight for maintenance needs and capital planning.
  • Administrative Operations. This position will be the liaison with the HRE Leadership team for Facilitates Planning and Management. Work with HRE leadership to help develop future maintenance and capital needs for the Facilities budget for Housing and Residential Education, including IT infrastructure and life safety equipment and systems. Establish and maintain a liaison with the HRE leadership team, procurement, and the Campus Police Department.
  • Capital Planning. Serve as the project manager, or in conjunction with the Facilities Project Manager, for all capital planning needs, current and future. Supervise construction or renovation projects within campus housing. Identify and schedule capital improvement and “cycling” projects (appliances, carpeting, furniture).
