Job summary

SPS North America is seeking a Facilities Associate in El Paso to support office operations and facilities functions. You will help with mail/shipping, inventory, conference room setup, and light facilities tasks while delivering a professional workplace experience.

Responsibilities include supervising inventory, coordinating with vendors, assisting with moves/events, stocking copiers/printers, and providing coverage for the business center as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years in office administration, retail, hospitality, or customer service.
  • Able to lift 40 lbs and perform light physical duties.
  • Work both independently and in a team.
  • Proficient with handheld scanners and standard office software.
  • Professional, neat appearance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with inventory and maintenance of existing furniture and equipment.
  • Repair, service, and troubleshoot facilities needs or coordinate with outside vendors.
  • Assist with office moves and setting up meetings and events, including catering needs.
  • Maintain inventory for supplies related to copiers, printers and fax machines.
  • Stock kitchens and copy rooms with required supplies.
  • Light cleaning and tidying of office and conference rooms.
  • Receive/sort incoming mail and parcels to business center.
  • Support onsite business center as needed (copy/print, conference room setup, or reception backup).

Job Overview:

The Facilities Associate delivers exceptional service by supporting a range of office operations and facilities functions. This versatile role includes assisting with mail and shipping operations, maintaining office supply and pantry inventory, setting up conference rooms, and providing light facilities support. The individual ensures the efficient operation of the workplace while upholding a professional image of the company.

In addition to these core responsibilities, the role involves engaging with employees and visitors to deliver outstanding customer service. Whether troubleshooting facilities issues, assisting with office moves, or supporting the business center, the Facilities Associate plays a key role in creating a seamless and professional workplace experience.

What you will be doing:
  • Assist with the inventory and maintenance of existing furniture and equipment.
  • Repair, service, and troubleshoot facilities needs or work with outside vendors to ensure onsite needs are met.
  • Assist with office moves and setting up meetings and events, to include overseeing catering needs.
  • Responsible for maintaining proper inventory for supplies related to copiers, printers and fax machines.
  • Stocking of kitchens and copy rooms, includes resupply and inventory.
  • Light cleaning/tidying of office and conference rooms.
  • Receive/sort incoming mail and parcels to business center.
  • May support the onsite business center, which may include: copy/print, conference room setup up, or serving as backup to reception area.
What we need from you:
  • 1+ year experience in office administration, retail, hospitality, or customer service.
  • A positive and professional attitude with a willingness to go above and beyond for our customers.
  • Ability to handle physical duties (carrying and/or moving 40lbs) associated with the job - lifting, bending, etc.
  • To be able to work both independently and in a team setting successfully.
  • The capability to use/learn technology such as: handheld scanners, email, professional messaging (Teams, Slack, Google).
  • An ability to be bright, articulate, and neat in appearance.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
  • 1+ years prior work experience preferred.
  • Ability to work assigned work hours determined by manager.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.
  • Current knowledge or ability to learn computer-based systems required for functions of position.
  • Required to maintain an overall professional appearance and attitude.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures required.
  • Ability to adhere to onsite policy of not carrying on an active work floor: cellphones, cameras, or other imaging devices.
Physical Demands:
  • Approximately 50% of the time this position requires the below physical demands.
  • Fine and/or gross motor skills, including the ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages on a standard wheeled cart with a load capacity of 60 lbs.
  • Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand, and/or sit for an extended period of time.
  • Manual dexterity required for operating office machinery (phone, copy machines, binding equipment, etc.).
  • Ability to lift or move 40 lbs. or greater frequently.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock.
