Insight Global is seeking an experienced facilities Architecture Engineer in Phoenix, AZ to plan, design, and coordinate architectural aspects of the OSAT factory and related facilities. You will collaborate with MEP, process, and utilities to ensure integrated facility design and space optimization.

The role requires 3+ years in industrial design, strong knowledge of building codes, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related field.
• 3+ years in architectural design and coordination, preferably in industrial or semiconductor facilities.
• PE license a plus; strong knowledge of IBC, IFC codes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, Bluebeam.

• Coordinate with internal teams and consultants to develop architectural designs for manufacturing, office, and support areas within the OSAT facility.
• Review and validate architectural drawings and material selections.

• Collaborate with ME P, process, and utilities to ensure integrated facility design.
• Optimize space utilization for production lines, cleanrooms, and support areas.

Job description

Our client in Phoenix Arizona is seeking an experienced facilities Architecture Engineer, responsible for planning, designing, and coordinating architectural aspects of their OSAT factory and related facilities. This includes layout optimization, space planning, compliance with building codes, and integration of architectural elements with mechanical, electrical, and process systems. The role ensures functional, safe, and efficient facility designs aligned with corporate standards and sustainability goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will evolve throughout the project lifecycle, ranging from design and commissioning to full-scale operations, requiring adaptability and a proactive approach to each phase.

• Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants on building design and construction requirements to develop architectural designs and layouts for manufacturing, office, and support areas within the OSAT factory.
• Review and validate architectural drawings, specifications, and material selections.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, fire safety regulations, and corporate standards.
• Support permitting processes for building construction and occupancy approvals.
• Collaborate with engineering disciplines (MEP, process, utilities) to ensure integrated facility design.
• Optimize space utilization for production lines, cleanrooms, and support areas.
• Oversee architectural aspects during construction, including site inspections and quality checks.
• Maintain accurate documentation of architectural plans and revisions.
• Incorporate sustainability and energy efficiency principles into facility design.
• Evaluate new technologies and materials for improved functionality and cost-effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in architectural design and coordination, preferably in industrial or semiconductor facilities.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, fire safety, and cleanroom design standards.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in software tools (AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, Bluebeam).
• Experience in design, construction, commissioning, and start-up preferred.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of IBC, IFC codes.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in various weather conditions and awkward positions.
• Regularly lift up to 50 lbs. and adjust heavy objects.
• Exposure to sharp, hot, and cold equipment.
• Must be medically qualified to wear a respirator.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at elevation, and in confined spaces with PPE.

Compensation:

$110k to $150k per year annual salary.
