The Facilities and Maintenance Manager is responsible for maintenance and improvement of the Noblesville manufacturing and office facility, the building and grounds, the production equipment, and production support equipment. Leads the maintenance organization to ensure equipment reliability, stability, and availability by implementing maintenance systems and tools. This includes TPM (total productive maintenance) practices suitable for a small, growing manufacturing business. The Facilities and Maintenance Manager also leads efforts to improve the design and function of plant equipment. Also manages the facility capital budget and associated capital projects, and is the operations point of contact for environmental process compliance.
As a member of the Operations Leadership Team, the Facilities and Maintenance Manager will be a role model for the Company’s vision and values, and drive them throughout the organization. The Facilities and Maintenance Manager will set high standards for operational performance and align people, principles, and processes to drive the organization towards excellence in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, environmental protection, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. Success in this position requires a broad mix of technical knowledge, social skills, business acumen, and the ability to lead high performing teams to achieve operational excellence.
Education:
• Bachelors degree in engineering, science, or other technical discipline. Mechanical Engineering preferred. Will consider extensive applicable experience in place of education.
Skills and Experience:
• 3 years of work experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, operations engineering, or other technical role in a manufacturing environment
• 3 years experience developing and leading a factory maintenance organization
• Manufacturing equipment design, maintenance, and improvement experience
• Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Shingo, TPM, or other recognized operational excellence or process improvement methodology in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated skills and experience improving equipment reliability, stability, and availability in an operations, engineering or maintenance role
• Able to analyze problems, apply critical thinking, and find creative solutions
• A solid history of meeting and exceeding expected results in past positions
• Must be self-motivated, have a bias for action, a sense of urgency, and quickly take personal responsibility to drive improvements
• Be a collaborative team player, understand team dynamics, able to assemble, lead, and motivate effective teams at all levels of the organization.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
