Job summary

Trystar is seeking a Facilities and Maintenance Manager at our Houston facility. You will oversee maintenance, repair, refurbishment, and construction operations to ensure peak building performance and regulatory compliance.

Reporting to the Site Leader, you will manage systems across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management, supervise vendors, track budgets, and train supervisors to uphold safety and efficiency across properties.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in facilities management or engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field.
• CFM or FMP credential preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, local building codes, and safety laws.

Responsibilities

• Manage the maintenance, repair, refurbishment, and construction operations for one or more facilities.
• Implement policies and procedures to ensure optimal building function and equipment performance.
• Monitor daily operations of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety and waste systems for reliability.
• Track work orders, ensure service standards, and adhere to budget guidelines.
• Train supervisors and employees in best practices for maintenance, service, safety, and local regulations.
• Oversee vendors or contractors engaged for construction projects.

Reporting to theSite Leader, the Facilities and Maintenance Manager oversees all maintenance, repair, refurbishment, and construction operations for our properties. This role ensures peak building performance, system reliability, and full regulatory compliance through effective policy implementation and contractor management.

In this role you will get to:

• Manage the maintenance, construction, repair, and refurbishment operations of one or more facilities or properties.


• Implement policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment.


• Monitor daily building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management to ensure reliability.


• Track work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budgeted guidelines.


• Train supervisors and employees in best practices for maintenance work, service and safety standards, and local laws and regulations.


• Oversee vendors or contractors engaged for construction projects.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years in facilities management or engineering. Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field.


• CFM (Certified Facility Manager) or FMP credential preferred.


• Strong knowledge of OSHA, local building codes, and safety laws.

Skills:

• Advanced understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.


• Proven ability to oversee construction projects and manage external vendors.


• Experience tracking work orders and managing operational budgets.


• Strong track record of training, supervising, and mentoring team members.
