A day in the life…As the Facilities & IT Infrastructure Manager at Girl Scouts of Utah, each day in this dynamic role is a blend of strategic oversight and hands-on problem solving. You might start your morning reviewing a facilities maintenance schedule or coordinating a technology upgrade with our IT partners. By mid-day, you could be conducting a site visit at one of our camp properties to assess safety compliance or troubleshoot a network issue impacting remote staff. You'll collaborate with departments to align infrastructure needs with organizational goals, manage vendor relationships, and ensure our systems and spaces are safe, secure, and efficient. Whether you're leading a capital improvement project or supporting a council-wide event with technical logistics, your work ensures that Girl Scouts of Utah can deliver on its mission effectively—every single day.

Job Accountabilities & Key Responsibilities

Facilities Oversight & Maintenance

Oversee the daily operations and long-term planning of all GSU-owned and leased properties, ensuring maintenance, safety, and compliance standards are met. This includes regular site visits across council locations, supervising Camp Rangers, managing facility improvement projects, maintaining security and emergency protocols, coordinating property-related contracts and inventories, and serving as the primary contact for facility incidents and emergency response.

IT Infrastructure & Security

Manage all hardware, software, and network systems to support office and remote staff, ensuring cybersecurity, data integrity, and system reliability. Oversee IT strategy, infrastructure upgrades, and technology projects in partnership with third-party providers. Monitor access, licensing, and equipment lifecycles while providing staff support, training, and onsite troubleshooting.

Physical Security

Oversee physical security systems, emergency preparedness, and staff safety across all sites. Manage vendor relationships and service contracts for facilities, IT, and equipment. Maintain accurate asset inventories and ensure cost-effective procurement aligned with budget priorities.ies.

Risk Management & Compliance

Lead council-wide risk management by identifying and mitigating risks across facilities, IT systems, and operations. Ensure compliance with safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory standards. Maintain emergency plans, conduct audits and drills, and oversee the council’s insurance portfolio in partnership with executive leadership.

Cross-functional Collaboration

Collaborate across departments to align facility and technology support with council-wide strategies. Provide logistical and technical coordination for events, ensure camp operations meet compliance and utilization goals, and promote a culture of safety, inclusion, and equity. Support special projects as needed.

Requirements

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, IT, business administration, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.

At least 5 years of experience managing facilities and IT infrastructure, preferably in a multi-site or non-profit environment.

Demonstrated experience with vendor and contract management, including capital projects.

Strong computer proficiency including but not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite, customer management systems (Salesforce experience preferred), and social media.

Familiarity with Microsoft 365, networking systems, and cybersecurity practices.

Working knowledge of OSHA, building and fire codes, MSDS, and other regulatory standards.

Understanding of ACA guidelines preferred.

Knowledge of local permitting and compliance processes.

Demonstrated ability to navigate and manage difficult conversations with professionalism, empathy, and effective communication skills.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, PMP) a plus.

Spanish Fluency Preferred But Not Required.

Available for flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
