Job summary

5th HQ in New York State is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Manager to direct maintenance programs and optimize production efficiency. Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Directs the maintenance programs and processes of the assigned plant to ensure timely and effective production.
• Coordinates with other management staff to ensure efficiency in preventative maintenance and new equipment installation.
• Oversees facilities design and inspection, equipment repair and installation.
• Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
• Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets
• Oversees, manages and directs all maintenance procedures and operations
• Ensures all machinery is up to working standards
• Assesses current maintenance work processes, to optimize efficiency
• Uses data analysis to help prepare for and prevent future problems
• Creates and implements measures to minimize breakdowns and repairs (performing quality checks of all machinery, tools, equipment etc.)
• Troubleshoots problem areas and creates a clear plan of action for fixing necessary parts
• Oversees repairs and trains new employees in maintenance work processes and procedures
• Creates a work environment with safety as a high priority
• Performs evaluations of employees to ensure quality of work
• Records and tracks daily progress/error reports
• Maintains vendor relationships and order new materials as needed
• Creates and adheres to maintenance budgets
• Enforces all health and safety rules and regulations according to state/federal laws and company protocol

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, administration or facility management
• Bilingual English-Spanish
• 5+ years' experience in manufacturing maintenance management role
• Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
• Ability to keep track of and report on activity
• Experience in planning maintenance operations
