Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated hiring salary is $4,047 per month (Step 1). (Internal employees may be placed at a salary higher than the anticipated range as required by the collective bargaining agreement.)

The salary range for this classification is $4,047 - $5,896 per month.

  • This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), probationary, non-exempt position.
  • This position is limited to internal, on-campus employees.
  • Positions at Fresno State are to perform their work onsite. Some positions, depending upon University needs and operations, may be eligible for remote work, one day per week, pursuant to Fresno State's remote work guidelines and the CSU policy.

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 15 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

The Administrative Support Coordinator will provide a full range of operational support for Facilities Management (FM). The department is large and the nature of the work is fast paced, oftentimes requiring shifting priorities to meet the needs of the department and the campus facilities.

Key Qualifications
  • Knowledge of:
    • office methods, procedures, and standard practices, including principles of customer service.
    • Working knowledge of cashier functions and general billing.
    • Thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation and be able to clearly communicate professionally both orally and in writing.
    • Thorough knowledge of office systems and ability to use a broader range of technology, systems, and packages (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Sign, Google email and calendar, etc.).
  • Skill/Ability to:
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills to serve as front-line providing accurate, professional, and courteous assistance.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality with regard to sensitive written and electronic records.
    • Ability to independently interpret and apply a variety of policies and procedures where specific guidelines may not exist and refer such issues to higher authority as appropriate.
    • Ability to perform standard business math, such as calculate ratios and percentages, track financial data, and make simple projections.
    • Draft and compose correspondence, documents and standard reports.
    • Ability to troubleshoot most office administration problems and respond to inquiries and requests.
    • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
    • Ability to create and maintain program records and provide data for review.
    • Maintain files and records.
    • Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, students and the general public from diverse ethnic, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of general clerical, secretarial or administrative experience in an office environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with a CMMS.
