Facilitate workshops, group sessions, and curriculum-based activities.
Deliver lessons on topics such as self-esteem, self-love, conflict resolution, critical thinking, communication, healthy relationships, decision-making, violence prevention, and personal development.
Encourage active participation and respectful group discussion.
Create a safe and supportive environment for youth and young adults.
Use trauma-informed, restorative, and strength-based approaches.
Redirect disruptive behavior using appropriate de-escalation techniques.
Encourage participants to set goals and identify positive alternatives to harmful behaviors.
Modify activities when needed to meet participants' age, needs, and engagement level.
Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
Complete attendance sheets, session notes, participant progress documentation, surveys, and other required reports.
Communicate participant concerns, incidents, or safety issues to the appropriate supervisor.
Collaborate with mentors, school staff, case managers, program leadership, and other approved partners.
Participate in staff meetings, supervision, training, and professional development.
Prepare materials and activities before scheduled sessions.
Follow all organizational and site-specific policies and procedures.
