Job summary

A leading entertainment company in Indiana is seeking a skilled building engineer to maintain and repair diverse building facilities and systems. Candidates should have a high school diploma and 4–5 years of experience in building engineering. You'll be expected to provide excellent customer service while performing repairs and preventative maintenance in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications

  • 4–5 years of experience in Building Engineering preferred.
  • Must have a valid Illinois Driver's License.
  • Basic English communication skills required.
  • Valid Illinois Driver's License and ability to drive company vehicle per policy.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair complex building systems.
  • Provide a high level of customer service.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs a wide variety of equipment.
  • Tests and tears down equipment and replaces defective parts and component units such as motors, clutches, belts, hoses, or controls.
  • Performs scheduled preventative maintenance activities, checks equipment function and operation, and recommends required maintenance action.
  • Performs repair carpentry, plumbing, painting, flooring, electrical, and roofing duties.
  • Monitors Boiler Room equipment.
  • Assists in training departmental team members.
  • Installs or assists in the installation or relocation of equipment.
  • Operates snow plow and spreads salt as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains and repairs a wide variety of complex building facilities and systems.
  • Analyzes, troubleshoots, and performs repairs of complex building systems working from maintenance manuals, blueprints, work orders, and instructions.
  • This position is responsible for providing a high level of customer service and promoting a positive attitude to create a fun and entertaining experience for our guests and team members.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 4–5 years of Building Engineering experience is preferred.
  • Must understand and speak the English language.
  • Must have a valid illinois Driver's License.
  • This position is required to drive a company vehicle and adhere to the company MVR policy.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee requires manual dexterity to operate all necessary equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs., occasionally. Must be able to lift 70+ pounds, have ability to ascend and descend heights on ladders and lifts, and work in a variety of harsh climates.
