Job summary

Harris Health is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to work independently on preventive maintenance tasks, diagnose issues, and perform repairs of utility systems, equipment, and components across our campuses.

Responsibilities include selecting materials, coordinating with teams, and ensuring safety and reliability of building infrastructure. The role requires strong reading/writing English, and availability for weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required; English reading/writing skills required.
• Two years building maintenance or related craft experience preferred.
• Valid Texas Driver's License preferred.

JOB SUMMARY

Works independently to complete preventive maintenance tasks, diagnoses problems, selects materials, and complete repairs of utility systems, equipment and components.

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: High School or GED required. Ability to read, write, and comprehend English (job- related instruction). Technical class work preferred. All candidates must be able to pass the skill assessment for this level or above established by the Facilities Engineering Department.

Work Experience (Years and Area): Minimum two years building maintenance, or advanced technical education, or related craft experience preferred, including ability to perform advanced building and equipment maintenance activities.

Equipment Operated: Valid Texas Drivers License preferred.
