Harris Health System, Inc. is seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor to lead and supervise daily engineering operations across hospital facilities in Houston, TX.

You will oversee preventive maintenance, urgent and routine repairs of electrical and plumbing systems, and support performance reviews and discipline for the team. The role requires strong analytical abilities, familiarity with hospital operations and regulatory standards (DNV, TDSHS, Joint Commission).

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in engineering, business, science, or skilled trade preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required/preferred.
• Journeyman License or equivalent certification preferred.
• Texas Driver's License preferred.
• Four years hospital or related work experience required.
• Familiar with hospital operations and regulatory requirements (DNV, TDSHS, Joint Commission) preferred.
• Two years supervisory experience in plant operations or maintenance.
• MS Excel, MS Word, PC, typing proficiency.

Job Summary

Exhibit a strong, self motivated work ethic. Possess the effectiveness to lead and supervise the daily performance of engineering staff. Perform Preventive Maintenance and urgent, corrective and routine repairs in electrical and plumbing systems. Assist Operations Manager in matters of performance reviews and discipline. Supervisor shall assist the Operations Manager in maintaining an effective organization, administering monetary controls, safety and effective management, planning, training, and personnel in their general and specific duties.

Minimum Qualifications

• Degrees: Associate's DegreeIn the field of engineering, business, science, or skilled trade preferred
• School Education: High School or GED
• Licenses & Certifications: LicenseJourneyman License or equivalent certification preferred
• Texas Drivers License preferred
• Work Experience: Four years hospital or related work experience required. Familiar with hospital operations, experience with Regulatory Requirements such as DNV, TDSHS, and Joint Commission preferred.
• Management Experience: Two years experiences of supervisory level in plant operations or maintenance.
• Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact) Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking), Writing/Correspondence, Writing/Reports
• Proficiencies: MS Excel, MS Word, P.C., Typing
