Cognizant is seeking a Facets Product & Benefits Consultant for a remote US role. You will design, configure, test, and implement healthcare benefits within the Facets platform, collaborating with analysts, claims teams, product owners, and QA to deliver scalable, compliant solutions.

The role emphasizes hands-on Facets configuration, benefit design knowledge, and cross-functional delivery in a remote US setting. Strong testing and documentation skills are required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of healthcare payer experience.
• 4+ years hands-on Facets Product & Benefits configuration experience.
• Deep understanding of healthcare benefit design (copays, coinsurance, deductibles, OOP maxs).
• Experience translating business requirements into scalable configuration solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze benefit requirements, product documentation, regulatory mandates to design Facets configurations.
• Configure, validate, and maintain Facets Product & Benefits components for accurate administration and claims.
• Assess impacts across membership, provider networks, pricing, accumulators, and downstream integrations.
• Develop configuration documentation, mapping artifacts, and decision logs for implementations.
• Create and execute testing scenarios to validate benefit logic (deductibles, copays, coinsurance, limits, networks).
• Troubleshoot defects, identify root causes, and implement sustainable fixes.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support product launches and production implementations.

About the Role

As a Facets Product & Benefits Consultant, you will make an impact by designing, configuring, testing, and implementing healthcare products and benefit plans within the Facets platform. You will be a valued member of the Healthcare Technology team and work collaboratively with business analysts, claims teams, product owners, operations leaders, QA teams, and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable, complaint, and high‑quality benefit solutions.

In this role, you will:

• Analyze benefit requirements, product documentation, regulatory mandates, and business needs to design effective Facets product and benefit configurations.
• Configure, validate, and maintain Facets Product & Benefits components that support accurate benefit administration and claims adjudication.
• Assess impacts across membership, provider networks, pricing, accumulators, claims processing, and downstream integrations.
• Develop configuration documentation, mapping artifacts, decision logs, and implementation support materials.
• Create and execute testing scenarios to validate benefit logic, including deductibles, copays, coinsurance, out‑of‑pocket maximums, limits, and network-based benefits.
• Troubleshoot configuration defects, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to support product launches, benefit changes, releases, and production implementations.

What You Need to Have to Be Considered

• 6+ years of healthcare payer experience, including at least 4 years of hands‑on Facets Product & Benefits configuration experience.
• Strong expertise in Facets Product & Benefits configuration, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Deep understanding of healthcare benefit design, including copays, coinsurance, deductibles, out‑of‑pocket maximums, accumulators, limits, exclusions, and network variations.
• Experience analyzing business requirements and translating them into scalable configuration solutions.
• Knowledge of the relationship between benefit configuration, claims adjudication, pricing, eligibility, provider networks, and accumulators.
• Experience supporting end‑to‑end testing, defect resolution, implementation activities, and production validation.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

These Will Help You Stand Out

• Experience supporting Facets implementations, benefit renewals, product launches, platform migrations, or large‑scale remediation initiatives.
• Knowledge of Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, Exchange, or ASO healthcare products.
• Experience using SQL, data analysis tools, configuration comparison tools, or Facets batch and interface processes.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements, benefit compliance standards, and audit controls.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments and cross‑functional healthcare technology teams.

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $113,000 - $130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
