Public Health Institute in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a part-time Program Coordinator for the FACES program to work with high school students and teachers, coordinating work-based learning experiences and wellness activities.

The role emphasizes planning, supervision of daily operations, advisory committees, internships, and community outreach, with a 20-hour week schedule through May 28, 2027, and a salary range aligned with 50% FTE.

Qualifications

3 years of related work experience.
Bachelor's degree, or substitute with four additional years of related experience.
Bi-lingual / Multi-lingual candidates highly preferred.
Experience with program development a plus.
General knowledge of health care delivery systems and public health pathways.
Experience working with high school aged youth and under-represented youth populations.
Must pass background checks.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple relationships in professional, educational and outreach settings.

Responsibilities

Schedule, facilitate, and teach workshops and trainings for students focused on health professions, college preparation, professional skills, wellness, and other assigned topics.
Coordinate FACES events including Blue Coat Ceremony, graduations, field trips, and other special events.
Recruit students, provide training to prepare students and preceptors for internships.
Coordinate onboarding steps for students into work-based learning including health screening requirements and parent communication.
Develop and coordinate work-based learning opportunities with health employers and preceptors.
Maintain documentation and program materials; manage student information and records, curriculum, attendance, evaluations, and expenses.
Complete progress reports and data updates on time.
Provide mentorship and support to FACES students and alumni.
Communicate with stakeholders including families, academic partners, health employers; build capacity onsite.
Coordinate advisory committee meetings and recruit members as applicable.
Support curriculum development and professional development efforts; participate in team meetings.
