Job summary

Public Outreach in Arlington, Virginia is seeking a Human Rights & Community Impact Fundraiser to engage the public face-to-face, educate on social issues, and inspire monthly donor support.

No fundraising experience is required. We offer paid training, a guaranteed $20/hour plus bonuses, and both full-time and part-time opportunities with a supportive team.

You will travel to meet points across Northern Virginia and participate in team fundraising goals.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Legally authorized to work in the US.
• Comfortable approaching and starting conversations with new people.
• Passionate about social impact, human rights, humanitarian issues, or community work.
• Resilient - you can hear 'no' and confidently move on to the next conversation.
• Reliable and able to work as part of a team.
• Comfortable working outdoors and being active throughout your shift.
• Able to reliably travel to team meeting points and fundraising locations throughout Northern Virginia and the greater DC area.

Responsibilities

• Talk with members of the public face-to-face.
• Represent respected nonprofit and humanitarian organizations.
• Educate people about important social and humanitarian issues.
• Inspire people to support nonprofit campaigns through monthly donations.
• Work alongside an energetic and supportive fundraising team.
• Develop your communication, confidence, advocacy, and leadership skills.
