Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced estimator to lead bids for complex projects in the drywall/steel load-bearing sector. You will own the estimating lifecycle from cost analysis to proposal development and communicate findings to clients and partners.

This role requires strong problem-solving and collaboration across preconstruction teams. The ideal candidate has a engineering or construction background with extensive experience in load-bearing cold-formed steel structures and a proven track record

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 10+ years in related estimating.
• 5+ years in drywall estimating, with emphasis on load-bearing structures.

Responsibilities

• Review and execute bids on multiple and/or complex projects.
• Responsible for all aspects of the estimating and bid process.
• Develop a thorough proposal on all cost elements relating to load-bearing structures.
• Determine all cost components of a project, propose alternatives, solve issues, and provide preconstruction services.
• Represent Jobtailor to clients and design/trade partners.

Job description

• Review and execute bids on multiple and/or complex projects.
• Responsible for all aspects of the estimating and bid process.
• Develop a thorough proposal on all cost elements relating to DBC’s load-bearing cold-formed steel structures.
• Determine all cost components of a project, propose alternative solutions, solve technical issues, and provide design/preconstruction phase services.
• Represent Digital Building Components to our clients and design/trade partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, structural architecture, or construction management and/or 10+ years of related experience.
• 5+ years in drywall estimating (load-bearing structures experience highly preferred).
