Job summary

Underground Solutions (UGS) in Indiana is seeking a skilled Fabricator to perform welding and fabrication on the WEKO-SEAL line, joining rubber seals and metal components, supporting safety and quality in a fast-growing environment.

You will operate welding equipment, cut and assemble parts, and assist field crews with material issues. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Mig welding experience; stainless mig welding; TIG welding preferred.
• Familiar with basic shop tools and measuring instruments.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
• Able to read tape measures and layout parts to 1/32 inch.
• Willing to work overtime with short notice.
• Team player who can troubleshoot mechanical issues.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication and welding for WEKO Seal product line.
• Operate cutting equipment, torch, plasma saw; assemble projects.
• Rigging, lifting heavy objects safely; use forklift.
• Support field crews in troubleshooting material issues.
• Prepare products for shipment and move heavy parts.
• Maintain shop equipment and perform routine repairs.

Job description

Underground Solutions (UGS) is currently seeking a Fabricator to perform welding and fabrication on our WEKO-SEAL product line that has been used for 40 years and over 300,000 installations in trenchless internal joint seals. UGS, a subsidiary of Azuria Water Solutions, is one of the most dynamic and fastest growing companies in the water infrastructure and electrical conduit market with a portfolio of proprietary and patented technologies targeting water and wastewater infrastructure improvement and undergrounding of electrical conduit.

• Responsible for fabrication and welding for WEKO Seal product line and manufacturing rubber seals
• Perform welding; fabrication; rigging; lifting heavy objects in a safe manner using forklift and scissors lifts; use cutting equipment, torch and plasma saw; and assemble projects, as well as general repair and maintenance of shop equipment
• Directly support field crews in troubleshooting material issues
• Prepare products for shipment, as well as move parts and heavy frames on and off machinery and throughout the facility
• Perform fabrication equipment evaluation and testing, using measuring and diagnostic devices to adjust, test, and repair equipment
• Perform repairs and maintenance on fabrication equipment to include hydraulics, electrical, robotics, and other components
• Communicate and maintain good relations with vendors and customers
• Follow and abide by all industry standards, regulations, and laws

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Mig welding experience, stainless mig welding and some tig welding preferred
• Familiar and comfortable with basic shop tools, drills, grinders, impacts, and measuring Instruments.
• Experience operating a forklift with certification or ability to be certified
• Experience operating an Oxy/Acetylene torch preferredFamiliar with fabrication machinery such as iron worker, band saw, roller, as well basic power and air tools
• Detail oriented, ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently
• Must be able to learn to troubleshoot mechanical problems as needed
• Well versed in shop math and layout processes, experience reading tape measure and understand measurements down to a 32nd
• Must be available to work overtime on short notice
• Must be able to write neatly and maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs., 75 lbs. on occasion
