Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking a Fabricator – Machine Operator in Harlan, Iowa. You will set up, adjust, and operate fabrication equipment to produce metal components according to blueprints and work orders.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, selecting tools, maintaining safety, and keeping accurate production records. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and basic math skills; welding experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 1-2 years of related experience.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills including dimensions, quantities, metric conversions, algebra, and geometry.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, diligence, and time management skills.
• Welding experience is a plus, but not required.

• Operate fabrication equipment, including press brakes, rollers, punch presses, sanders, drills, grinders, shears, saws, and other fabrication machinery.
• Utilize measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, rules, squares, angle gages, and height gages.

• Read and interpret parts drawings, process routings, and production requirement information.

• Operate fabrication equipment, including press brakes, rollers, punch presses, sanders, drills, grinders, shears, saws, and other fabrication machinery.


• Utilize measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, rules, squares, angle gages, and height gages.
