Essenti Talent in Harlan, Iowa seeks a Fabricator – Machine Operator to set up and operate fabrication equipment to produce metal components per blueprints and work orders. You will ensure safe operations, quality standards, and accurate production records.

Responsibilities include operating presses and saws, reading drawings, measuring with calipers and micrometers, and maintaining clear documentation. A high school diploma or 1–2 years’ experience is required, with welding a plus.

Salary: $22-28/hour

Job Summary of the Fabricator – Machine Operator: The Fabricator Machine Operator will set up, adjust, and operate fabrication equipment to produce metal components according to blueprints, specifications, and work orders. This role is responsible for maintaining safe operations, quality standards, and accurate production records.

Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Fabricator – Machine Operator:

• Operate fabrication equipment, including press brakes, rollers, punch presses, sanders, drills, grinders, shears, saws, and other fabrication machinery.


• Utilize measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, rules, squares, angle gages, and height gages.


• Practice the highest degree of safety when performing essential duties of his position.


• Read and interpret parts drawings, process routings, and production requirement information.

Education & Experience Requirements of the Fabricator – Machine Operator:
