Job summary

American Fan, a manufacturer of air movement equipment for Industrial, HVAC, Commercial, Marine, and specialty markets, is seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. You will perform fabrication, assembly, and finishing tasks, operating laser cutting systems and other fabrication equipment, and work closely with CNC programming and machine shop staff to ensure precision and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• 1–3 years of fabrication/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience with laser cutting or press brakes is a plus.
• Basic understanding of CNC machining concepts desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Willingness to cross-train across departments.

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication machinery including laser cutting systems, press brakes, shears, and related equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine specifications and fabrication requirements.
• Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Assist with machine setup, calibration, and maintenance of fabrication and laser equipment.
• Collaborate with CNC programmers and machine shop staff to optimize production flow and accuracy.
• Participate in cross-training to gain proficiency in machining and CNC operations.
• Handle raw materials and finished parts safely; maintain a clean work area.
• Follow safety procedures and report larger concerns to supervision.
• Support continuous improvement in productivity, safety, and quality.
