Job summary

IPEX is seeking a General Laborer / Fabricator in Chesterfield, MO to fabricate and prepare plastic piping products per customer orders. You will cut materials, drill, bevel, assemble fittings, and operate various fabrication equipment in a hands-on manufacturing setting.

The role emphasizes practical mechanical skills, safe work habits, and reliability, with duties including measuring, reading work orders, and maintaining quality across the fabrication process.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills including fractions, geometry, and angles.
• Ability to read imperial measurements and work orders.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and safe work practices.
• Experience in fabrication is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Cut plastic piping materials using saws and fabrication equipment.
• Drill, grind, bevel, and prepare plastic materials.
• Assemble fabricated fittings using PVC primer and adhesive.
• Fabricate tees, reducers, couplings, elbows, and custom fittings.
• Set up and operate fabrication equipment (band saws, routers, grinders, drill presses, hydraulic presses, and related tools).
• Read production orders, sketches, and drawings and document production steps.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and use PPE properly.
