Job summary

Renegade is seeking a Fabricator II–Welding to support assembly of specialty components. The role requires MIG welding experience on aluminum and steel, ability to read blueprints and a tape measure, and strict adherence to safety protocols in a high-noise environment.

Candidates should be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, wearing PPE, and working overtime as needed to meet production goals. This position is based on-site at Renegade facilities in the United States.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read a tape measure and blueprints.
  • MIG aluminum and steel welding experience required.
  • Able to work in a noisy environment and wear PPE (glasses, ear protection, steel-toed shoes).
  • Lift up to 50 lbs and maintain good physical condition.

Responsibilities

  • Sand and grind welds and parts.
  • Identify and place parts in designated areas.
  • Weld daily, including in small areas or truck compartments.
  • Follow safety regulations and wear required PPE.
  • Learn and operate all related fabrication equipment.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Followstandard operating procedures as well aswritten and verbal orders and instructions in English.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. and be in good physical condition. Standing, bending, and climbing as well as upper body and back strengthrequired.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures asstatedin the company policy and safety manual including wearing safety glasses, ear protection, and steel toed shoes.
  • Able to work in a noisy environment.
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Actively pursue cost reduction measures.
  • Perform all assigned tasks within specific time limits and company standards.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure.
  • Mustcomply withall safety regulationsregardingthe work area, theproductand equipment. Recognize and report all safety discrepancies to your supervisor.
  • Willing to develop a thorough knowledge of all aspects of this field including products, options, and uses.
  • Willing to gain experience in all phases of the specific Fabrication area to which an individual is assigned.
  • Able to learn tooperateall related equipmentpertaining tothe position.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, sketches, or verbal instructions in order to fabricate specialty items or makethem toa specific fit.
  • MIG Aluminum and Steel Welding experience required.
  • Ability and willingness to train new and existing employees.
  • Willingness to share department and company knowledge as needed.

Daily Functions:

  • Sand and grind welds and/or parts.
  • Measuring and drilling.
  • Identifyand place parts in designated areas.
  • Weldon a daily basis.This includes welding in small areas or in truck compartments.
  • Eye injuries & exposure toultra violetrays: welding can cause damage toeyes. Required to wear an approved helmet with a lens tinted to 11 or darker per OSHA standards, or an electronic lens set to at least 11 when welding. Eye protection and face shield must be worn when sanding to prevent eye injury.
  • Heat: increased temperature due to heat reflection in compartments from welding.Wear PPEat all times.
  • Cuts & burns: Use caution to prevent cuts when sanding and wear PPE when welding to protect against burns.
  • Trips, slips, & falls: ensure all air hoses and obstacles are kept clear of aisles. Use caution when climbing on and off trucks.
  • Heavy lifting: ask co-workerfor help or use a crane or forklift operator when lifting objects over 50 lbs. Do not walk under suspended parts and be cautious of co-workers whenoperatingcranes.
  • Air quality: wear respirator when in close quarters due to gases from welding, if needed.
