Job summary

Mettler Toledo AG is seeking a Fabricator I in Kentucky to fulfill customer orders by completing daily work from production schedules and ensuring quality throughout the manufacturing process.

The ideal candidate should have a High School Diploma, experience in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to safely operate machinery such as forklifts and cranes. The position offers competitive benefits, including medical coverage and a 401(k) savings plan.

Share this job:Share Fabricator I with a friend via e-mailOur Opening and Your Responsibilities* Complete daily work from a production schedule utilizing blueprints, standard work, and work instructions.* Accurately enter data into the ERP (e.g., SAP) system and ensure that inventory is accurately stated.* Maintain quality throughout the process.* Conduct daily preventative maintenance on machinery.* Maintain stock control, pull items for orders, assist other departments, and complete other related duties as required to fulfill customer orders.* Setup and operate Saw and Tumble Blast.* Aid in operation of Large Brake.* Handle material for Plasma Area with Crane.* Contribute to facility 5S and Lean initiatives.* Operate fork trucks and cranes.* Perform daily activities safely.* Identify and implement safety improvements.* A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.* Experience in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment.* Ability to read and interpret standard blueprints and other engineered documentation.* Ability to read tape measure.* Ability to understand fractions, decimals, and measurement techniques.* Ability to work effectively with torches, cutters, staplers, hand/pneumatic tools, and hand tools (hammers, torque wrench, crow bars, etc.).* Ability to safely operate Jib and overhead cranes.* Ability to safely operate a forklift.* Ability to perform quality inspections on own work and the work of others based on set expectations.* Good verbal communication skills.* Good problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.* Ability to learn basic computer skills involving SAP, TPM and Microsoft Office.* Ability and drive to meet customer quality and delivery requirements.* Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.* Strong organizational skills with a focus on details.* Demonstrated good attendance and punctuality record.* Ability to work overtime when required (some on weekends).* Medical, dental and vision care coverage and a 401(k) savings plan with company matching - all starting on date of hire* Tuition reimbursement, employee wellness programs, plus other perks and discounts* Parental and caregiver leave policies* All the usual benefits such as paid time off, flexible spending, short-and long-term disability, basic life insurance, business travel insurance, Employee Assistance Program, and domestic partner benefits* Global market strength and worldwide leadership in weighing* A brand name that is identified worldwide with precision, quality, and innovation* Thousands of patents, design and innovation awards* A commitment to extraordinary service on our state-of-the-art equipmentPreferred LocationOhioShare this job:Share Fabricator I with a friend via e-mail
