Base pay range

$50,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Fabricator - Commercial Glazing : This position performs fabrication and shop support activities for the Commercial Glazing division in the Minneapolis/St. Paul and greater MN areas.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates glazing materials by cutting and assembling storefront and curtainwall materials at the shop.
• Coordinates fabrication schedules and logistics for material delivery to site. Ensuring that the projects are completed on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of our client.
• Manages shop hands to assist in fabrication and other logistics.
• Trains and develops shop hands to enable them to continue to grow in their positions and beyond.
• Ensures daily shop to office communication.
• Unloads vendor materials and organizes stock per schedule.
• Identifies and resolves any project issues or conflicts that arise.
• Ensures equipment maintenance is prioritized and corresponding Safety Trainings are completed.
  
  

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Commercial Glass and Glazing systems and installation practices. Storefront, Curtainwall, Glass Railings, Heavy Glass Walls, etc.
• Ability to read, understand, and markup prints on paper, computer, or tablet.
• Ability to measure and layout fabrication materials per plan and specifications.
• Knowledge of tools and machinery used in the Glass and Glazing Trade. (autosaw, punch, tigerstop)
• Previous Glazing or Glazing fabrication experience required.
• Forklift Operating Experience Preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and Glazing Software(will be trained for specific tools used)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Ability to multitask and prioritize time in a fast-paced environment.
• Superior Organizational Skills required
• Professional communication and leaderships skills required for communicating effectively to team, clients, and other trade partners.
• Must be a servant leader with the ability to train and guide those on your team.
• Willingness to continually learn by adapting to company culture and industry practices.
