SITE Staffing Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a Fabricator to set up fabrication and assembly of plastic parts, reading blueprints and using precision tools to meet specifications. This is a first-shift position, 6:30am–3:00pm, Monday through Friday.

The role requires operating strip heaters, press brakes, drills, routers and saws, plus bonding, sanding and polishing. Good reading of instructions and basic computer skills are helpful.

Qualifications

• Ability to utilize measuring equipment.
• Read and interpret verbal and written directions and work instructions.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsabilités

• Sets up and operates strip heaters and or press brake for bending.
• Sets up and operates drill presses for drilling, countersinking, and tapping.
• Sets up and operates table routers and saws.
• Uses hand and power tools regularly.
• Heats parts using oven or heat gun.
• Assembles parts and attaches hardware using clamps, jigs, fixtures, and power tools.
• Applies adhesives for bonding assemblies.
• Sanding, buffing, polishing and cleaning products.
• Reads blueprints and work orders to determine methods, sequence, and specs.
• Keeps workspace safe and clean.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

Summary:

The Fabricator is responsible for setting up the fabrication and assembly of plastic products, applying knowledge of plastic cutting, bending and bonding techniques, using precision instruments, hand tools, machines and equipment in order to produce parts on time and according to specifications.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Sets up and operates strip heaters and or press brake for bending
• Sets up and operates drill presses, for drilling, countersinking, and taping operations
• Sets up and operates table routers and saws
• Frequently uses hand and power tools
• Sets up and heats parts using oven or heat gun
• Fits and assembles parts and attaches hardware and fittings using clamps, jigs, fixtures, power tools and fasteners
• Applies adhesives to assemblies for subsequent bonding
• Sanding, buffing, polishing and cleaning of product
• Reads and interprets blueprints, work orders and related documents to determine methods and sequence of operations, dimensional and finish specifications
• Ensures safety of themselves and coworkers by keeping their work area clean
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school education; or up to one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to utilize measuring equipment
• Able to read and understand verbal and written direction to include following work instructions and set-up procedures Basic computer skills
