We are currently seeking a Fabricator to join our team.

Summary

The Fabricator will be trained or assist on one or more of the following machines or work centers: cutoff saws, CNC and standard shears and brakes, rollers, presses, forming machines, CNC and standard Whitney punching machines, CNC plasma & punch machines, belt, bench, and hand-held grinders. They will perform duties such as:

  • Operating machines or assisting in work centers with supervision.
  • Prioritizing safety at all times.
  • Reading job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
  • Assisting across different work centers as needed in a team environment.
  • Monitoring machine operation for defects or malfunctions.
  • Measuring workpieces for accuracy.
  • Removing burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from workpieces.
  • Stacking, marking, packing, and transporting finished workpieces.
  • Using barcode systems to track job time.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months of related experience/training; or equivalent experience.

Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division with various units of measure.

Physical requirements include standing, walking, handling objects, reaching, lifting/moving up to 50 pounds, and specific vision abilities.

Work environment may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, vibration, and loud noise.
