MOTORSPORTS & RACING TECHNOLOGY, LLC in Plymouth, MI is seeking a Fabricator to join our team designing and manufacturing exhaust systems and vehicle performance upgrades. You will fabricate parts per engineering specifications and support production with hands-on metalworking.

The ideal candidate has 0-1 years in manufacturing, basic math and measurement skills, MIG welding experience, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced, team-oriented shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 years of manufacturing or machine operation experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Basic math and measurement knowledge and skills.
• Experience in MIG welding.
• Experience in cutting, deburring, and staging raw materials.
• General knowledge of metal fabrication machinery.
• Ability to interpret and follow manufacturing instructions and engineering drawings.
• Ability to utilize jigs and fixtures per instructions.
• Highly organized with the ability to work with a team to prioritize projects and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate exhaust systems and components per engineering specifications.
• Prepare metal tubes and stage them for the next operation.
• Run machines such as bandsaws, tube cutters, and metal tube benders while also performing some of the machine set-ups.
• Measure, cut, deburr, and stage raw materials.
• Execute all work assigned in a timely and accurate manner against time and quality standards.
• Ensure that orders are fulfilled with 100% accuracy and with minimal scrap.
• Provide input and ideas for continuous improvements that can be made in process, equipment, or tools.
• Adhere to all safety rules and company policies.
• Support team members and cross-functional production needs as required.
• Attend training to maintain up-to-date skills and knowledge.
• Work with Engineering team to solve manufacturing challenges.
• Provide general support to the Sales and Marketing teams as need.
