Earl R. Martin, Inc. in New Holland is seeking an experienced diesel professional to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and related systems on trucks and heavy equipment.

The role requires strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. You will fabricate and repair components, complete parts and labor paperwork, and stay technically proficient in the fabrication shop.

Qualificações

• Two to three years welding experience in steel, stainless and aluminum.
• Experience with TIG, MIG welding and various fabrication equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Fabricate frames for trucks and related body accessories; weld repairs on truck/trailer components.
• Charge out parts and labor; assist parts manager with non-stock parts orders.
• Remain technically proficient in all fabrication shop areas and equipment.
• Perform general welding repairs with attention to detail.
• Use manuals and computer systems to determine the best repair approach.
• Be a positive role model and maintain a safe, clean workshop.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary –

We are seeking an experienced and reliable diesel professional to add to our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems on trucks and heavy equipment. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Experience –

This position requires two to three years of experience in steel, stainless and aluminum welding, and competence with various fabrication equipment-TIG, MIG, shearing, use of Press Brake, Autocad/CNC plasma table, metal shear, oxy/act torch, chop saw, bench and hand grinders.

Responsibilities –

• Fabricate frames for trucks, design and fabricate various truck body accessories including but not limited to bracketry, panels, toolboxes, battery boxes, deck plates, light boxes, and custom mounts, perform welding repairs on various truck and trailer components.
• Completes all necessary paperwork including charging out parts and labor accurately as well as working with the parts manager to order any needed non-stock parts and material stock.
• Remains technically proficient in all areas of the fabrication shop.
• Performs general and routine welding repairs with excellent attention to detail.
• Uses appropriate resources such as parts manuals, repair manuals, and computer to determine the most efficient and effective repair.
• Is a positive role model for all team members and helps to create a positive environment.
• Adheres to all company policies and safety rules and assists in keeping a clean and safe workshop.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications –

• This position requires a high school level education (or equivalent)
• Must have the ability to use basic shop mathematics and handbook formulas
• May need to interpret blueprints or drawings
• Use a wide variety of tools or precision measuring instruments
• Ability to set-up, re-tool, and operate somewhat complex machines on repetitive work
