Job Title: Fabricator Job Description

This role focuses on cutting and preparing various metals in a fabrication shop environment using bandsaws and chop saws while accurately following blueprints and measurements. You will support the production process by interpreting drawings, using a tape measure with precision, and working around other fabrication equipment such as press brakes.

Responsibilities
  • Cut various metals to specified dimensions using bandsaws and chop saws.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine required cuts, dimensions, and materials.
  • Use a tape measure accurately to verify measurements before and after cutting.
  • Follow established fabrication processes and shop procedures to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Work in coordination with other team members in the shop, including those operating welders, press brakes, and other fabrication equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area around cutting and fabrication stations.
  • Inspect materials and finished cuts for accuracy and quality, making adjustments as needed.
  • Operate fabrication equipment safely and follow all safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Assist with general fabrication tasks as needed to support overall shop production.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean, medium-sized fabrication shop with multiple workstations and active welding areas. The facility houses large machinery, including press brakes, punch presses, and various other fabrication equipment, creating a dynamic production environment. This is a day-shift position, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with limited overtime, supporting a predictable schedule and work-life balance. Typical shop attire appropriate for a metal fabrication environment is expected, with adherence to all required safety gear and protective equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nampa, ID.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
