Job summary

Lactalis American Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician III – Welding Fabricator in Nampa, ID. You will read engineering blueprints, fabricate metal components, and perform quality checks on welded products.

You may set up fabricating machines, design templates, and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced production setting. Requires 3+ years of maintenance experience and an associate degree in a technical field.

• Ability to interpret technical instructions and read blueprints.

Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Fabricator based in Nampa, ID.

Requirements

As a Maintenance Technician III – Welding Fabricator, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, fabricating metal components or structures, and performing quality checks on finished products. You may also be required to set up fabricating machines and design custom templates.

The Level II Technician is a proficient technician who performs mechanical, preventative, and basic corrective maintenance as outlined in the Skills Matrix and as assigned. The Level II skillset possesses adequate technical understanding to troubleshoot and correct basic failures. They still need help to troubleshoot complicated breakdowns and need to be lead / supervised to ensure that all work is completed correctly.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

• Machining fabrication materials and components
• Fitting, setting, and installing fabricated structures.
• Cutting and welding with a variety of processes
• Metal forming, bending, and finishing.
• Repair, design, layout, and estimation
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints.
• Develop and design welding projects.
• Inspect and test welds.
• Measuring and marking out cutting and bending lines.
• Setting up metalwork machinery including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, brakes, and shears.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Maximo computer software.

• 3 + years’ related experience in maintenance preferred.
