Job summary

VSC Fire & Security in Houston, Texas is seeking a Fabricator to join our production team. You will fit and weld steel, aluminum and stainless-steel parts using TIG processes and set up welding machines per job specifications.

Maintain clean work areas and support team efficiency on the production floor. The role requires reading blueprints, following safety standards and working both independently and with others to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or drawings to determine requirements.
• Operate machinery used in production or assist machine operators.
• Uphold ISO and OSHA standards applicable to responsibilities.
• Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy with focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Fit and weld steel, aluminum and stainless-steel parts using TIG welding.
• Set up welding machines per job using Welding Procedure Specification.
• Keep work areas clean and organized and maintain equipment.
• Collaborate with team to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Fit, weld, assemble parts and complete tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Maintain risk management and safety procedures on all job sites.

What you will do:

• Responsible for fitting and welding of steel, aluminum and stainless-steel parts using a TIG process.
• Set up welding machines based on the job using a Welding Procedure Specification.
• Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
• Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Responsible for fitting and welding of steel aluminum, and stainless-steel, assembling parts, and complete any tasks assigned by a supervisor.
• Maintain proper Risk Management and Safety procedures on all job sites per VSC policies.

This role is designated as safety-sensitive due to responsiblities that could entail the use of motor vehicles, mobile equipment, working at heights, climbing ladders, and utilizing lift equipment.
