Job summary

VSC Fire & Security in Houston, TX seeks a Fabricator to join our team. You will read blueprints, set up and operate TIG welding equipment, and assemble parts while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will work both independently and with others to meet production goals, following documented procedures and directions from supervisors. We value accuracy, communication, and a proactive approach to professional growth.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine requirements.
• Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators.

Responsibilities

• Fit and weld steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel parts using TIG welding.
• Set up welding machines per job using Welding Procedure Specification.
• Keep work areas clean and organized; care for equipment and facilities.
• Collaborate with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Fit and weld and assemble parts; complete tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain proper risk management and safety procedures on all sites.

• Responsible for fitting and welding of steel, aluminum and stainless-steel parts using a TIG process.
• Set up welding machines based on the job using a Welding Procedure Specification.
• Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
• Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Responsible for fitting and welding of steel aluminum, and stainless-steel, assembling parts, and complete any tasks assigned by a supervisor.
• Maintain proper Risk Management and Safety procedures on all job sites per VSC policies.

This role is designated as safety-sensitive due to responsiblities that could entail the use of motor vehicles, mobile equipment, working at heights, climbing ladders, and utilizing lift equipment.
