  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience fabricating metal components.
  • Proficiency with common hand tools and fabrication equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricates components and assemblies from stainless steel and other materials.
  • Follows engineering drawings and sketches to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequence, and setup.
  • Calculates flat patterns, layouts, and material requirements to meet specifications.
  • Lays out, marks, cuts, forms, drills, grinds, and fits components to required dimensions.
  • Identifies material defects or drawing discrepancies and communicates them to supervision or QA.

This role is responsible for preparing, forming, fitting, and assembling metal components used in the construction of custom industrial machinery.The ideal candidate is a skilled Fabricator who takes pride in craftsmanship, understands fabrication processes, and can independently interpret engineering drawings and fabricate components and assemblies from stainless steel products and other materials..What You’ll DoFabricates components and assemblies from stainless steel products and other materialsWork from engineering drawings and assembly sketches to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirementsDevelops layout and plans sequence of operationsCalculate flat pattern for specific gage, punch & die, and material to meet product specificationsLay out, measure, mark, cut, form, drill, grind, and fit metal components according to specificationsFit components and assemblies to achieve proper dimensions, alignment, and tolerancesIdentify material defects, dimensional issues, or drawing discrepancies and communicate them to the appropriate supervisor, Engineering, or Quality personnelPreferred QualificationsAbility to use common hand tools and fabrication equipmentAbility to safely handle metal materials and componentsMechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic fabrication issuesStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to work independently as well as effectively as part of a teamCommitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPECapable of developing fixtures and tooling for specific uses in machine set-upAbility to create DXF files in AutoCADWhy Join Us?We are a growing manufacturing organization focused on building high-quality, innovative equipment for customers around the world.
