Job summary

Sewer Equipment is seeking a dependable fabricator to assemble structural metal products in Dixon, IL. You will interpret blueprints and drawings, select appropriate tooling, and work with band saws, mills, drills, grinders, and forming equipment to meet project specs.

This full-time, on-site role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, maintain a safe workspace, and operate forklift and overhead crane as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure and interpret blueprint, schematics and work instruction diagrams.
• Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms.
• Basic understanding of mathematics as related to fabrication assignments.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for someone that can assemble structural metal products using a large variety of tools and machines. You will interpret blueprints, drawings and other written/verbal instructions and then weigh in on project scope and requirements. Responsibilities

• Must be able to operate, band saws, mills, drills, grinding and forming/steel processing equipment
• Maintains a safe clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
• Operate forklift and overhead crane

Location & Commitments

• Permanent full-time role based in Dixon, IL

Benefits Include

• Pay Range of $18.33 - $23.96 depending on experience
• Productivity Bonus, paid quarterly. Average 2025 payout was $7/hour. Payouts are based on overall company profitability, and attendance
• $500 sign on bonus, paid after 90 days of employment

Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:

• 1 year experience fabricating.

• Prolonged periods of standing.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
