Sentry is seeking a Fabrication & Welding Technician to join our Fabrication team in Watertown, SD. The role involves cutting, fitting, welding, and assembling steel components for diverse fabrication projects.

The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting, takes pride in quality work, and can work independently while contributing to the shop's success. Training is available for the right person.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and Dual Shield welding on steel components and assemblies
• Operate plasma cutters and other cutting equipment
• Measure, layout, cut, fit, and prepare materials for fabrication
• Read and interpret basic shop drawings and fabrication plans
• Operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform grinding, cleanup, and finishing work
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy
• Safely handle steel, materials, tools, and equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow established safety procedures and shop standards
• Work with other fabrication team members to meet production goals and deadlines
• Assist with other shop operations and projects as needed
